As Deputy Governor‘s Kinsmen Endorse Uche Nwosu, Imo Chief Of Staff for Governor

Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has expressed confidence that the incoming governor of Imo State, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu will record better performances in all areas of governance than he, Governor Okorocha has done in the past seven years.

According to the governor, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu apart from being one of those who knows the secrets of the successes recorded by the Rescue Mission administration also has the right temperament to govern Imo State and avoid the temptation of allowing power get into his head.

The governor stated this as all notable political leaders from Mbaitoli LGA, where the Deputy Governor hails from came to announce to the governor, their decision to support Ugwumba Uche Nwosu for the governorship election come 2019.

In a press statement issued by Sam Onwuemeodo on behalf of the State government, the Imo State governor who is also the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum informed his guests that if there is any fear he harbors about Uche Nwosu’s governorship, it is the fear that his performance in office will dwarf the achievements of the Rescue Mission administration, hence, making it possible for Imo people to forget him.

The governor however stated that he is not bothered about that as he is more interested in supporting someone who will make lives better for the ordinary people of Imo State than retaining his record as the best governor to have ruled the State.
