OKOROCHA’S NEW UNIVERSITIES DEAD ON ARRIVAL – DIKE

Imo APC May Implode, Stakeholders Warn

A political juggernaut and a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and one time member of the Imo House of Assembly, Hon Chief Emma Dike (Mirioma Orsu) has described the establishment of six new high institutions by the out-going Okorocha’s government, as a move that amounts to “Dead on arrival” and efforts in futility.

Chief Dike said that the move must surely be quashed by the incoming administration because it was done in bad faith with the intension to strangle the incoming government.  This is surely a booby trap, fraud and landmine which the outgoing governor is setting for the incoming administration. It is equally madness a situation, where the existing Imo State University is comatose and somebody that is normal is talking about establishing six more universities. “Is this not Madness”, he queried.

Hon Dike also posited that all the appointments and last minute establishment of this and that and jacking up of monthly impress of Chairmen of LGAs from N200,000.00 to N1,000,000.00 is equally laying “land mines” for His Excellency Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha.

On debts owed by the outgoing administration, Chief Dike stated that the Tribune Newspaper of 20th September 2017 revealed that Imo state debts stood at N93,267,764,679.14 billion local debt and $61,735,029.48 foreign debts as at 2017 and by now the Imo debt profile must have risen in geometric progression and that any person who is claiming that Imo is not indebted is deceiving Imolites and himself.

The astute politician went further to state that sometime in the past, the likes of Prof. Manrice Iwu, Senator Chris Anyanwu and others visited the outgoing governor to discuss Imo rising debt profile but ended up without getting any reasonable response from him.
