Ex-CIBN president, others attend ‘Imo day’

The immediate past president of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Ken Opara, and other dignitaries are set to attend the Imo Day celebration organised by the Imo Improvement Association in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

According to a statement made available  recently, other dignitaries expected at the event include founder, Chisco Group Chidi Anyaegbu, Chief Executive Officer, Airpeace Nigeria, Allen Onyema, Onibeju of Ibeju Land/Chairman of Obas and Chiefs in Ibeju Lekki, Rasaki Olasunkanmi.

Imo Day celebration which is the first of its kind by any Igbo Community in Ibeju Lekki will witness the gathering of all Imo State sons and daughters and their children in Ibeju-lekki and beyond who will boldly celebrate and display their rich cultural heritage with glamour and funfair.

A keynote address will be delivered by the founder of Allied Vytex Nigeria Limited, Uche Agbarakwe.

Imo Day was conceived and initiated by the Imo Improvement Association to create a conducive atmosphere for Imo indigenes not only to unwind and celebrate their rich culture but also to interact and celebrate with their host communities to foster and promote peace, unity and socio-economic progress among different ethnic nationalities in Ibeju-lekki in particular and Lagos State in General.
